New BBC show I Can See Your Voice looking for terrible singers to be TV stars

Is your singing talent more bad karaoke than Brit Award winning but you always manage to put on quite a show?

Well, if the answer is yes, you could be just what the producers of a bizarre new TV series are looking for.

The BBC has just announced I Can See Your Voice, after the show proved a massive hit in Korea.

Each episode of the eight part will see a team of two players aiming to win a cash prize by guessing who can and can’t sing from a group of mystery singers standing before them.

But there’s a catch, can they predict who has the voice of an angel or who will leave them covering their ears in horror all without ever hearing them sing a note? Helping the players will be a panel of celebrity experts, who are joined each week by a different singing superstar.

The panel will help the players whittle down the group until there’s only one singer left to perform a duet with the guest singing superstar to reveal whether they can or can’t sing.

If the players have picked a good singer then they will take the prize but if a bad singer is revealed, the imposter will pocket the cash.

Announcing the show, Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content said: “This addictive, fun and immersive new entertainment series will offer BBC One viewers jaw-dropping reveals and gives the whole family a chance to get involved in this compelling new guessing game.”

Issuing a rallying call for vocally challenged singers to take part, producers wrote: "Are you a terrible singer? Can'r sing to save your life But you think you have what it takes to convince people you are actually a brilliant singer for a chance to win a cash prize? Then we want to hear from you!"

Good singers are also wanted for the show, as well as contestants and you can apply HERE.

I Can See Your Voice is set to air on BBC1 next year.
