New BBC documentary about Glasgow talent agency airs next month

A new BBC documentary which shares the story of a Glasgow talent agency is set to air next month.

The show, titled Talent, will launch on the BBC Scotland channel at 10pm on December 7.

Described as 'a heartwarming tale of four hopeful film and TV extras', the show features Sonia, The Agent, Emma, The Romantic, Davey, The Dreamer, Brianne, The Survivor and Evans, The Hustler, as they aim to make it big in the entertainment industry.

And behind Talent is BAFTA-winning and Grierson nominated Glasgow filmmaker Hannah Currie who followed the various characters of the city's All Talent Agency to make the show.

Producers say of the new documentary: "The heartwarming tale of four hopeful film and TV extras and their ever-faithful agent as they vie for a piece of the action in Scotland’s burgeoning entertainment industry.

"Flanked by French bulldog Bruno and dressed to impress, Sonia is an agent like no other - with over 5000 people on her books from octogenarian stuntmen to naked body doubles, she finds the extraordinary in the ordinary. For Sonia, Talent comes in many forms…

"Meet Davey, Brianne, Evans and Emma, regular people from different walks of life looking for something extra - confidence, acceptance, escapism - and ultimately, their moment.

"They may not be the stars of the show (yet), but with Sonia in their corner it’s time for the people in the background to step into the spotlight."
