New BBC comedy thriller starring Daisy May Cooper to be filmed in Bristol in December

Filming for a new 'twisted comedy thriller' set to air on BBC next year will be filmed on a busy Bristol street in December.

Am I Being Unreasonable? focuses on two friends whose lives slowly unravel over six episodes, with lead characters Nic and Jen played by Selin Hizli and This Country star Daisy May Cooper, who are best friends in real life.

Next month, filming for the six-parter will take place at women's clothing store Rag Trade Boutique on Cotham Hill, Cotham.

A letter has been posted through residents' doors by the location manager stating the shoot is scheduled for Monday, December 6 between 11am and 11pm, with no filming taking place outside these hours.

To allow for the shoot to take place, the show's producers have applied to Bristol City Council for a road closure of Cotham Hill for its duration.

They also state they "would like to park our essential filming vehicles that carry our equipment as close by to our filming location as possible," but that these vans will be kept within the road closure.

Locals are also assured that the crew will be "mindful of the needs of local residents and businesses" with those who have deliveries planned on December 6 urged to let the production company know in advance.

Describing the show, comedy.co.uk writes: "At the heart of this female fronted series is Nic and Jen's budding friendship. Jen arrives in town with her son Harry and disrupts Nic's lonely life with fun, laughter and booze.

"Nic's son Ollie also finds a new friend in Harry. Female friendship at its naughtiest and most intoxicating. That is until everything unravels. A twisted comedy thriller about two mums, marital angst, maternal paranoia and a dead cat."

Am I Being Unreasonable? will air on BBC One in 2022, with an exact date currently unknown.
