New base for expanding Open Study College

An educational company has expanded by opening a second office.

Open Study College has added to its Solihull head office by launching a second 2,122 sq ft base in Coleshill.

The move follows it recently passing the 100,000th student landmark.

The new site houses a printing and production facility designed to improve the quality of the education provider's course materials as well as additional space to be used for its expanding workforce and further initiatives aimed at meeting future needs of students.

Open Study College was launched 13 years ago by father and daughter team Mark and Samantha Rutter, along with other members of the family, and operates more than 650 distance learning courses.

Ms Rutter said: "So much has changed in the last year but for us as a business thankfully it has been a prosperous time, with people looking to retrain and upskill during the pandemic.

"Our second office means that we can continue to keep up with the growing demand and increased appetite for flexible learning and even better serve our students in the future.

"I'm incredibly proud of our team and how they have supported one another and the business through this uncertain and busy period and we're excited to use this second office as a fresh space to come together once more as soon as we can."
