New bar and kitchen opens on Gloucester Road

The Hideout bar and kitchen is the latest addition to Bristol's bustling Gloucester Road.

The new eatery, located at 272 Gloucester Road, is owned by two best friends and business partners Sami Karahan and Morgan Hart.

The pair, both 22-years-old, have taken on board their own experiences eating at high-end restaurants to deliver an affordable restaurant that prides itself on top-class service.

Sami says that his Turkish heritage also plays a part in his ambition to deliver an unforgettable experience, having enjoyed what he describes as "incredible service" whilst eating at restaurants abroad in Turkey.

He said he was encouraged to bring the same standards to his Bristol venture.

The Hideout offers a wide-ranging menu, from traditional breakfasts and avocado sourdough toast to surf and turf sliders.

The owners pride themselves on their brunch menu, saying it ‘balances cost and quality’ - with the meat sourced from local butchers.

A range of mezze small plates are also on offer, including baba ganoush with Turkish bread, calamari, lamb kofta and lots more.

For those with a sweet tooth, there is also a range of desserts to choose from, as well as milkshakes and smoothies.

The cocktail menu is just as extensive - providing all of the classics with an authentic twist, such as the 'Mai Guy'.

Sami told Bristol Live the cocktail menu was hand-crafted by himself and took months to perfect, with some drinks taking up to 15 attempts to get just right.

Despite both only being 22 years old, the pair say the opening of the Hideout has been a long-awaited dream they have shared that has taken years of intense planning.

They also believe that their age allows for them to grow and develop the business and hopefully expand in the future.

The Hideout is open seven days a week at 272 Gloucester Rd, Bishopston.
