New Ayrshire tapas restaurant opens as Spanish-inspired menu is unveiled

A new tapas restaurant has opened in Ayrshire today.

Cita Tapas officially in West Kilbride on the site of the former eaterie Chu Chus in West Kilbride.

Bringing a Spanish flavour to North Ayrshire, the new venture was a vision four years in the making.

The Cubrieshaw Street restaurant has been inundated with bookings ahead of the grand opening.

And bosses at the new venue recently unveiled their menu ahead of the door swinging open.

Starters include black pig ham with olive oil and Spanish black truffle crisps.

The entire menu is filled with tapas items including patatas bravas (skin on potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce), gambas pil pil (tiger prawns, garlic, lemon, chilli, olive oil), fried chicken with romesco sauce, and fillet steak pan fried with full bodied rioja.
