New Ayrshire pakora bar and restaurant dubbed 'Curry on the Corner' set to open

A new indian restaurant dubbed 'Curry on the Corner' is coming to Saltcoats.

Singh's pakora bar and restaurant will open in the former Corran Inn, situated in Jack's Road at the junction with High Road.

Internal renovations have already began at the building which is a stone's throw from St Matthew's Academy.

And the news has gone down a storm with curry lovers after the owners revealed their plans for the premises on Facebook.

Sarah McCubbin said: "I’m so glad someone has taken over and will be opening another food place near by. I’ve really missed having something so local. Can’t wait to try.

Morag Angus added: "Fantastic! Looking forward to having a new place to eat in the town. "

The business' Facebook page was originally called 'Curry on the Corner' but later rebranded Singh's.

And would-be customers were in no doubt about which name they prefer.

Claire Taylor insisted: "Definitely preferred curry on the corner, much more modern.

Kimberley Kennedy Guffie agreed, adding: "The other name was way more memorable, my parents are on fb and were calling it that as it was so catchy."

No opening date has been announced.
