New authentic Thai restaurant opening in Leeds Arcade following success of Olive and Rye

A new Thai restaurant will soon be opening in Leeds.

Popular Leeds Arcade artisan eatery Olive and Rye, which has become popular for its breakfasts and lunch as well as treats, is expanding its wings and opening a second restaurant. Opening next door, Olive and Thai will be bringing a 'mouth-watering taste of tropical' to Leeds city centre.

A spokesperson for the site said: "Coming soon. Olive and Thai is an independent cosy eatery with Thai at heart. Food is our love language. Our dishes are carefully crafted, intricate yet easy going. Our kitchen is hot but our chefs are humble. Hold on tight."

After the success of Olive and Rye, which has been inundated with four and five star reviews, the new opening is expected to be popular. The venue will open in the former pizza restaurant Simpatico.

The premises have been empty for some time but signs have now for Olive and Thai have been put up outside, reading: 'Olive and Thai - exciting new Thai café coming soon.' The eatery will run across two floors and serve Thai classics as well as offer signature dishes and daily specials.

Owners will aim to bring the same laid-back atmosphere to the new venture. Olive and Rye customers have shared their excitement. On Instagram, @pescipiglet said: "This is so exciting!"

While @she.eat.leeds added: "This is very exciting!" @leedsfoodtours said: "How exciting!"
