New Arsenal away kit 2019/20: Alexandre Lacazette and Jordan Nobbs unveil retro ‘bruised banana’ shirt

Arsenal have unveiled their new away kit for the 2019-20 season, inspired by the club’s iconic ‘bruised banana’ shirts of the early 90s.

The new jersey is a throwback to those worn by the likes of Ian Wright for two seasons between 1991 and 1993.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are among those modelling the kit for the men's side with England international Jordan Nobbs and Danielle van de Donk representing Arsenal Ladies.

Wright himself makes an appearance in the club's new colours alongside fellow Londoner Reiss Nelson.

The Gunners released their first kit of the new Adidas deal, worth £60million a season to the north Londoners, on July 1.

Adidas are continuing the retro theme with their away shirt which will be worn on the pitch in Arsenal’s first away game of the new season against Newcastle on August 11.

Adidas had a deal with the club between 1986 and 1994 and is back with their iconic three-stripe design.

Arsenal had previously worn Puma shirts before a switch this summer.
