A new app dubbed as “Use-it” provides ideas about special places in the city through local people.
In this App, local residents provide their ideas about special places in the city, like where best to wine and dine, and things that are an absolute must for the savvy traveler to see, reported the German News Agency.
“Use-it” features traveling guidelines in 34 European countries in a printable content. The guidelines are available in English, providing tips on everything from bars to art exhibitions to hostels.
That means if you're looking for a good vegetarian restaurant or a bar with the best-priced beer in a European city, then local residents will likely have some recommendations for you in the app.
What can make for fun reading is the often sardonic humorous style that the locals use to advise travelers about local customs.
For example, in Brussels you'll learn that locals only eat waffles sprinkled with sugar, while they consider any other kind are merely "tourist waffles." While Use-it does not yet cover some European cities like Berlin, London, Barcelona and Paris, it's great for other capitals like Brussels, Oslo and Zagreb, as well as places that are usually not in the spotlight such as the Czech city Olomouc and Gent in Belgium.
Travelers looking for unusual attractions in their next city trip just might consult Use-it, which is also accessible with Android and iOS smartphones.
