New app promises shoppers 'never pay full price again' - and it has been created in Newcastle

A pair of Newcastle entrepreneurs have created a discount app promising shoppers they will never pay full price again.

Reward Me Now is a new mobile app that lets shoppers make huge savings online and on the high street.

Using the app, shoppers can access deals that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK, and users can benefit from up to 18% off at their favourite shops.

Members can access over 150 high street and online brands, from fashion retailers to restaurants, with brands including Primark, Pizza Express, New Look, and River Island.

The app has been created by Gary Hunter and Sam Morton, who have already found success with their company Redu and its discount website Ashleigh Money Saver, which is recognised as the UK’s leading shopping influencer and has more than 700,000 Facebook followers.

Mr Morton, chief commercial officer of Redu, said: “We want Reward Me Now to help our members every single day, so we’ve been working hard to find them savings everywhere from the high street to the online marketplace.

Dragons' Den newcomer Sara Davies goes behind the scenes on her first day

“Our team ensure that our members never need to pay full price for anything again! That’s ranging from their summer holiday to their weekly food shopping!

“We want to drive people back to the UK high street, as well as online, where the extensive savings we have curated and secured will have an impact on improving the finances of every single house in the country.”

Reward Me Now will also let shoppers save money when buying goods on the high street using a reloadable discount card.

The Reward Me Shopping Card automatically saves its owner 7% every time they top up the card, so when members load £100 onto the card they only pay £93, but receive the full £100 to spend, and Redu’s team believes that Reward Me Now could save its members up to £1,000 a year.

The group was founded in 2014 and has since grown its revenue to £2.5m but expects to double this figure over the next two years.

Redu’s divisions are responsible for selling more than £40m of goods to UK retailers every year.

The business has also been featured twice in the Top 20 fastest growing tech companies in the North.
