Last week, the Big Ten was left out of the Amway Coaches Poll while their season was still in limbo. This week, after the Big Ten season was announced to return in late October, the Big Ten was added back to the poll. No surprise here, but Michigan State did not make the top 25. Expectations aren’t that high for Mel Tucker and his squad so they will have a lot to prove once the season kicks off.
While the Big Ten was reintroduced to the poll this week, they didn’t exactly have the best showing in this week’s poll, likely because no games have been played yet in the conference. The highest ranked Big Ten team was Ohio State at No. 10, which seems low for a team that should be in the National Championship picture.
