New aerial pictures show progress of huge M&S store at Newark retail park

New aerial photos show the progress of the M&S Foodhall at a Nottinghamshire retail park.

The Maltings Retail Park in Newark will provide a new five-unit shopping centre for customers when it opens.

The site has been under construction since 2020, and it is hoped the foodhall will soon be completed.

The M&S unit is 18,000sq ft of the retail park, which in total will cover an estimated 50,000sq ft.

The retailing giant had left Newark high street in April 2019 when it closed its store in Stodman Street as part of a national programme of closures.

More than 230 parking spaces will be created at the retail park.

Another unit is near completion and is hoped to be a Costa Coffee branch after plans were submitted by the coffee giant.
