New adventure for Paisley nursery kids as they get ready to start primary school

These youngsters are getting ready for their new adventure as primary 1 pupils and already have big dreams for what they want to be when they grow up.

The adorable pre-schoolers are ready to take the big step to primary school on Tuesday, having said goodbye to Douglas Street Early Learning and Childare Centre in Paisley.

Doctors, dentists, vets, police and fire officers, hairdresser, builder, construction worker, weather man and even a Snow White are just some of the hopes the kids have for their futures.

Meanwhile, their proud mums and dads have told how extremely thankful they are for everything the nursery staff have done for their kids.

One parent said: “We will miss Douglas Street. You all have been amazing. Samuel has done amazing under your care. Thank you do much for all your help and understanding over the years. We don’t know what we would have done without you all.”

Another added: “Thank you for all your help and support through the years and helping my child to build her confidence I know she will miss all the staff dearly”

Parents have also thanked staff for their efforts supporting the children during the covid pandemic, which saw the nursery closed for months with young children learning online.

One mum said: “I would like to thank each and every one of the staff for taking care and helping Evie to learn she has loved every single thing you have did with her.
