A hotel that was due to be opened up to child asylum seekers has burned down in Norway
Hotell Lune Huler, in the Vågseidet Lindas region, was destroyed after a fire started in the restaurant section.
It had been set to become a haven for 15-18-year-olds escaping war torn countries such as Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
Hotelier Jenfrid Stellberg told VG."This was simply very sad. It was so incredibly sad to see the hotel going up in flames in the night."
Previously the hotel was used by women travelling from Uganda.
Two guests were staying in the hotel but were able to escape with no injuries.
Ms Stellberg added: "They lived in the apartment section of the hotel, and are fortunately both in good shape."
She said the cause of the fire had yet to be established but that she suspected it was arson.
