New 3D street art installations in Cabot Circus will blow your mind

New 3D street art installations have been placed around Cabot Circus and they might just blow your mind.

Street artists have created four optical illusions that will have you questioning ‘Am I really hanging off the edge of a waterfall?’ and ‘Has a T-Rex come out of extinction?’

These lifelike scenes are well worth a visit, and they are only live until Sunday, September 5 - so don’t miss them.

Artist Julian Beever - who created the T-Rex - told 2Chill : “I most love making something new, and if possible, where the artwork meshes in with the actual surroundings.

“The 3D dinosaur in Cabot Circus was a case of both. I tried to match the scene with the real view of the Ground Floor.

“It’s there for all to discover on the Upper Ground Floor and I hope many people do!”

Here are the four incredible installations and where to find them:

Great white shark

A great white shark is located near Harvey Nichols in Quakers Friars (Nia Dalton)

Beware of the beast! This great white shark is hurtling itself out of the water and through the brick floor towards Harvey Nichols.

Surfboard

A surfboard is located outside Accessorize on the Ground Floor of Cabot Circus (Nia Dalton)

Make sure you don’t get wet! Ride the waves outside Accessorize on this Hawaiian surfboard.

Crocodile bridge

A crocodile canyon is outside LEGO on the Ground Floor (Nia Dalton)

Watch your step! One tumble and you’ll end up in crocodile-infested waters outside the LEGO store.

Dinosaur

The T-Rex dinosaur is located outside Five Guys on the Upper Ground Floor (Nia Dalton)

Roarrrr! Cabot Circus' Upper Ground Floor is about to give way as this destructive T-Rex marks its territory at Five Guys.

The Cabot Circus website reads: “If you’re heading to Cabot Circus this summer there is 3D art popping up across the shopping centre which gives the illusion of animals rising out of the ground, and canyons.

“Be sure to watch your step, as there is a T-Rex to dodge, a very hungry looking Great White Shark waiting with his mouth open, a perilous bridge to be crossed over a crocodile infested canyon, and a surf board to be ridden.”
