Asda has launched a new £30 food box containing 31 cupboard essentials.
The supermarket say they have created the "best value" delivery box aimed at helping those most vulnerable get all their essential groceries in one go.
They add: "The box is brimming with supplies that have been in high demand amid the pandemic, including cereal, bread, pasta, tinned fruit and vegetables, sauces, Extra Special jam, teabags and long life milk."
A selection of treats are also included inside the box, which will be delivered to customers within two days of their order.
Asda is the latest supermarket giant to have launched a food box, with a host of others already on the market. They say the box is available to all but hope it will help the most vulnerable people, and those currently self-isolating.
Mike Snell, managing director of their sourcing procurement arm IPL, said: "For vulnerable people across the country, staying at home and not being able to make a trip to the supermarket is a difficult prospect.
"At Asda, we’re committed to helping ease the strain on our customers during this time and hope that by offering our food box at an affordable price, we can help to make lives that little bit easier, giving people peace of mind that their cupboards will be well stocked without the stress.”
