Neverness to Everness Gacha System explained: Pulls, Pity, Rates & Guarantees

Neverness to Everness (NTE) is the next big anime-style gacha game from the developers of Tower of Fantasy. It’s doing a few things differently, however, borrowing sandbox elements from the likes of Grand Theft Auto rather than Genshin Impact to fill its open world metropolis.

NTE’s gacha works differently too from its competitors, with a relatively player-friendly system compared to most Hoyoverse titles and the recently released Arknights Endfield. While there are traditional character and weapon banners, it’s all part of a tabletop game-like board where you throw dice to make pulls.

There are plenty of underlying mechanics that accompany this gacha-board game system in Neverness to Everness, and naturally, it can be a lot to take in. As such, below, we explain everything you need to know about NTE‘s Gacha System, including pulls and pity rates of character and weapon banners.

How does the gacha dice board work in Neverness to Everness?

The dice board gacha system in Neverness to Everness is called Scarborough Fair (or simply Fair). You make pulls by rolling the dice, and depending on the number you get, you move one to six places. There’s an item waiting on every tile of the board (in both standard and limited banner), each of which offers unique rewards.

For instance, an item called Golden Hero Chest has a 3% chance of dropping an S-class character, whereas another item, Miracle Box, has a chance to drop a random A-class Arc (weapon). Below is a list of all the items you can come across on the dice board:

Tile Name Tile Description
Apprentice Chest  Chance to obtain an S-Class character or a B-Class character Arc.
Hero Chest Chance to obtain an S-Class character or B-Class character Arc.
Miracle Box Get a random A-Class Arc.
Lost Check Box  Get the amount of Lost Pieces mentioned on the tile.
Warp Chess Box  Get the amount of Warp Pieces mentioned on the tile.
Journey Together Guaranteed to obtain the character shown in the current tile.

In addition to these, there are also special tiles, one of which is called Sumberland. Once you land on them, you will awaken a small guardian nine tiles ahead of you. You’ll have three turns to catch up to the guardian. Doing so will get you 30 Warp Pieces. Do note that the guardian moves forward two tiles with each roll.

There are also outfit tiles that can get you an outfit for the featured character. Please note that not all tiles appear in all banner boards. Furthermore, you use blue fabricated dice on Standard and red solid dice on the Limited-time banner.

Additionally, every board has four tiles that lead to special boards called the Secret Fair. You can only reach here through the Rainbow Bridge. There are fewer titles in the Secret Fair, but they offer better rewards. Here’s usually where you can obtain S-Class character, vehicle, and glider skins.

Naturally, there’s pity in place, and depending on the pulls you make, chances of getting the desired character or weapon can increase significantly.

Neverness to Everness character pity explained

Before diving into NTE’s pity system, take a look at the character drop rate in both featured and standard banners.

S Rank character banner drop rate:

  • 0.99% (base rate)
  • 19.59% (after board change)
  • 1.87% (including guarantee)

A Rank character banner drop rate:

  • 11.67% (character)/ 11.31% (weapon)

NTE character banner soft pity explained

Soft Pity kicks in after making 70 pulls on the board. The board changes after this, adding more Journey Together tiles. This significantly increases the chance of obtaining the featured S-class character (up to 19.59%).

NTE character hard pity explained

Hard pity kicks in after making 90 pulls on the board. You are guaranteed to get the featured S-class character in your next pull. Furthermore, there’s no 50/50 here, so there’s no chance of obtaining any other character except the featured one(s).

It’s worth noting that character pity in NTE carries over to the next banner, so the number of pulls you make in a limited banner will never go to waste.

Neverness to Everness featured weapon pity explained

Weapon drop rates and pity work slightly differently than their character counterpart in Neverness to Everness. It’s also a bit more complicated.

Before we dive into the drop rates, it’s important to note that you can’t make single pulls in the weapon banner. Every single pull is a condensed 10 pulls, similar to Arknights Endfield‘s gacha system.

Drop rates for S Rank Arc banner:

  • 3% (base)
  • 4.19% (including guarantee)
  • 1.68% (limited S-rank only including guarantee)

Drop rate for A Rank Arc banner:

  • 7% (base)
  • 13.47% (+guarantee)

There’s no soft pity for Arc (weapons) in NTE, but there’s a rather complicated hard pity set in stone that you need to watch out for.

Rolling the dice 6/8 times (6 attempts or 60 pulls) increases the chance of getting any S Rank Arc on a 25/75 rate-up. Rolling 8/8 times (8 attempts or 80 pulls) guarantees a drop of the limited/featured Arc.

Please note that every 6/8 attempt has a 25% chance to increase the rate of obtaining the limited-time S Rank Arc, with the 8/8 attempt guaranteeing the drop. However, if you get a rate up early, it will reset the pity. Either way, in the worst-case scenario, you might obtain 1 standard Arc at the 6th attempt and 1 rate-up, limited-time S Rank Arc at the 8th.

Neverness to Everness skins pity explained

You can obtain character, vehicle, and glider skins from the dice board. Strangely, they have their own drop rates and pity systems in place.

Drop rates for character skins:

  • 0.33% (base rate)
  • 0.68% (including guarantee)

Drop rate for vehicle skins:

  • 0.33% (base rate)
  • 1% (including guarantee)

Drop rate for glider skins:

  • 1.71% (base rate)
  • 2.96% (including guarantee)

There’s no soft pity for any skin, but there’s a hard pity for each one of them.

  • 50 pulls (glider skin)
  • 120 pulls (vehicle skin)
  • 200 pulls (character skin)

That sums up our Neverness to Everness’ gacha guide. You can find a summary of the NTE‘s gacha system on Gacha Gaming’s subreddit.

We will continue to monitor NTE‘s social media channels for new information, updates, and changes to the game’s gacha elements as we head closer to launch. As such, don’t forget to check back once in a while.
