'Never in doubt' - Notts County fans celebrate Wembley final after beating Barnet

Goals from Kristian Dennis and Callum Roberts mean Notts County are one win away from promotion back to the Football League.

The Magpies made it through to the National League play-off final with a 2-0 win against Barnet at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

It was a near perfect play-off performance as Notts controlled the game for long spells, especially after going in from late in the first half through Dennis' header.

Roberts wasted another chance to make it 2-0 as Barnet responded strongly after the break with Sam Slocombe saving brilliantly from Ephron Mason-Clark.

But Roberts, made amends perfectly with a stunning solo goal after the break, sparking delirium among Notts fans.

Barnet attempted to launch a fight back but they could not find a way through a resolute defence marshalled magnificently by Alex Lacey and Ben Turner.

The Magpies will now play Harrogate in the final in what will be their first Wembley visit since 1996.

Harrogate earned their place with a deserved 1-0 win against Boreham Wood, meaning the sides which finished second and third will contest the final for a place in League Two.
