THRISSUR: Faiz Hashim from Wadakkanchery has won the first rank in the engineering stream in the KEAM entrance examination this year. “I was not at all hoping to get the first place in the entrance examination. But I was hopeful that I could come among the first 10 top scorers. I’m certainly delighted by the result,’’ Hashim said.
Hashim, who is the son of the Hashim-Razia couple from Wadakkanchery Valley residential colony, said he studies whenever he feels like studying.
According to him, the pandemic was in a way helpful to him as he needed to study only when he felt the urge. Hashim, who was a student at Devamatha CMI Public School here, said that he wants to pursue computer science in higher studies.
“I want to do some research in computer science,’’ he said.
