SERIES RECORD: Wyoming leads 14-6

ODDS: Wolf Pack -20

Nevada returns to Laramie to play Wyoming for the first time since their 104-103 double-overtime loss last season. Since that matchup, the teams have gone in completely different directions.

The Wolf Pack are now ranked No. 6/7 depending on the poll and are on an eight-game winning streak including a complete beatdown of New Mexico 92-63 last weekend. Jordan Caroline is on a crash course to win the MW Player of the Year Award averaging 19.0 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game while Caleb Martin leads the team in scoring with 19.3 ppg and Cody Martin leads the team in assists with 5.4 assists per game.

The Cowboys are currently sitting at a disappointing 6-18 on the season but have been playing much more competitive ball with the return of junior forward Jake Hendricks back into the rotation.

After starting 1-7 in conference play with all 7 losses coming by double digits and the sole win against San Jose State, Hendricks returned against Air Force. Since his return, Wyoming is 1-2 with a close loss in Colorado Springs to the Falcons, an easy win against Colorado State and a tough loss at Utah State in a game that was back and forth until the final few minutes.

In addition to the 104-103 Wyoming win last season, these teams met 3 weeks earlier that season in a high scoring 92-83 win for Nevada at home. This game will likely be a much lower scoring game as the Cowboys have been letting their lone senior, Justin James, walk the ball up the court and wait to initiate the offense with around 10 seconds left on the shot clock.

James leads Wyoming in points, rebounds, and assists with 20.9 ppg/8.9 rpg/4.4 apg. As the only active player on the roster who played Nevada last year, James averaged 31.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg in those 2 matchups.
