Network Rail is hiring but applications close very soon

If you're looking for a career change then you could be in luck - Network Rail is advertising a number of jobs that could be ideal.

The rail manager have several vacancies on offer, with varying degrees of seniority to suit different job hunts.

Vacancies include roles as a team leader jobs or project management assistant, if you fancy working for the network.

Some of the salaries are pretty good too - with one of the roles offering a seriously impressive annual wage of £45,000.

Even the lowest salary on this list comes in at a healthy £24,000 a year. 

You'll have to be quick to apply though as some of these roles have application closing dates that are very soon.

Project Management Assistant

Salary: £24,000 a year

Network Rail is looking to recruit an assistant to support the project management team who look after the everyday management of projects for which they are responsible.

Applicants will need to be able to pass Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks required by Network Rail.

Essential requirements include previous management experience, HSQE awareness and education to a HND/HNC or similar standard.

Candidates should demonstrate their personal commitment to safety in their application as safe behaviour is a requirement for working for Network Rail.

The job is based in Tuebrook and applications close on February 3.

Access Co-ordinator

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 a year

Network Rail needs an access co-ordinator who will arrange track access to support the delivery of maintenance and third party works.

Essential criteria for the successful candidate include knowlege of access planning processes and systems, good geographical knowledge and knowledge of an operational railway environment.

Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are also essential for applicants.

The role is based in Wigan, which is commutable for Merseyside job hunters, and applications close on February 7.

Team Leader

Salary: £40,107 -£45,120 a year

The Route Services department of Network Rail is looking for a team leader to lead a team of workforce development specialists.

The role will involve improving the proficiency and focus of Network Rail's workforce, supporting the design and development of Network Rail training programmes.

Requirements include leadership skill and experience, the ability to motivate and inspire as well as the ability to demonstrate the management capabilities of developing, thinking, achieving and inspiring.

The role is based Warrington and applications close on February 6.
