Nets fans lead the NBA in savage chants at opponents

I still believe the Brooklyn Nets and not that other NBA franchise that resides in New York City are the premiere destination for free agents.

I’ll give you one more reason that I didn’t list there: Nets fans have come up with some awesome chants aimed at opponents or their own players this season, and some of them savage.

Imagine you’re Kevin Durant and you want a destination where the die-hards are truly invested and creative. Here you go! For example: On Wednesday night, breakout Nets star D’Angelo Russell was at the free-throw line when some fans started chanting, “Thank you Magic!” even though the Nets weren’t playing the Lakers, who traded Russell to the Nets in 2017:

How about this one aimed at Luka Doncic earlier this month?

During a win over the Boston Celtics, they informed the team that “Kyrie’s leaving!”

Back in November, when Markelle Fultz was with the 76ers, he heard “Jayson Tatum!” the player taken by the Celtics two picks behind him at the 2017 NBA Draft:

They tried to recruit Kawhi Leonard by calling out to his uncle, who’s his adviser:

They ribbed the Knicks when they benched Enes Kanter:

I can’t wait to see what they come up with for the postseason, assuming they make it there.
