Raheem Sterling is set to captain England on Thursday night in their Uefa Nations League semi-final clash against Netherlands.
With Harry Kane among those to be rested following last Saturday’s all-English Champions League final, Sterling is set to wear the armband on his 50th appearance for his country.
Kane’s absence will also likely see Marcus Rashford lead the line with Jadon Sancho alongside in a thrilling front-three.
Declan Rice is expected to get another chance to shine in midfield with Ben Chilwell set to come in at left-back with Danny Rose also among the Tottenham contingent to be rested.

Sterling, Rashford and Sancho will have to find a way through perhaps the toughest centre-half partnership around at the moment in Virgil van Dijk and the highly sought-after Matthijs de Ligt.
Frenkie de Jong and Donny van de Beek, two stars of Ajax’s remarkable Champions League run, are expected to start in midfield with Ryan Babel and former Manchester United starlet Memphis Depay part of a front three.
