Netflix Wants Your Zodiac Sign to Pick Your Next Binge Watch — Here’s How to Try It

Netflix.

Netflix has officially launched its Astrology Hub, giving subscribers a new way to tackle the eternal question of "What should I watch tonight?"

The feature works exactly as you'd expect: Subscribers can browse recommendations tailored to their zodiac sign, with Netflix assigning personality traits to each sign and matching them with corresponding shows and movies. It's essentially algorithm-based recommendations with a celestial twist.

While the concept is gimmicky, it actually addresses something most of us have experienced: staring at Netflix's endless rows of content and feeling paralyzed by choice. With countless shows out there and Netflix's often overwhelming interface, decision fatigue has become a genuine problem.

Sometimes, having an arbitrary but entertaining filter (even one based on the dubious science that your birth month determines your taste in reality TV) can actually get you watching something new. And, who knows, you might find your new favorite watch. Here's how to use Netflix's astrology feature and what to expect from your cosmic recommendations.

1. Sign in

You'll need to start by going directly to Netflix's Astrology Hub. If you're not automatically logged in, fill in your details and click Sign In.

Here you'll see Netflix's familiar interface, but all of the categories relate to Zodiac signs.

2. Your Zodiac Watchlist

Here you'll see Netflix's familiar interface rebranded as "Your Zodiac Watchlist."

According to Netflix, this helps users "discover shows and movies curated to align with your astrological sign." Scroll down until you find yours.

3. Navigating the Astrology Hub

Each sign comes with Netflix's interpretation of that sign's personality traits and viewing preferences. For example, Aries is described as "Love Chaos and Competition" which translates into recommendations heavy on reality TV, competitive shows, and high-intensity content.

The recommendations span both TV series and movies, offering a mix of Netflix originals and licensed content that supposedly aligns with your astrological profile.

What to expect...

The algorithm appears to lean heavily into stereotypical zodiac traits, so your results will depend entirely on whether you actually embody the personality traits some ancient astronomers decided you should have based on your birthday.

Aries users might find themselves drowning in reality competition shows, survival series, and action-heavy content like "Squid Game", because apparently being born in late March means you're contractually obligated to enjoy watching people suffer for entertainment.

The recommendations can be diverse within each category, though. While Netflix stays committed to whatever astrological stereotype it's decided defines you, it at least casts a wide net — serving up everything from mainstream hits to obscure series you'd never have found while aimlessly scrolling.
