Netflix viewers all noticing the same thing about Bridgerton season two after big change to show

Bridgerton has returned to Netflix with millions worldwide expected to tune in for one of the streaming services most popular ever shows.

Season two dropped on Friday and already many have binged the entire show, while others are getting ready to enjoy it over the weekend.

One thing critics had noted in their reviews before the official release was a massive cut back in the amount of sex scenes compared to season one.

Explaining this before the show aired, showrunner Chris Van Dusen told a press conference: "It was never about quantity for us. We use these intimate scenes to tell a story and to push the story forward.

"We’ve never done a sex scene for the sake of doing a sex scene, and I don’t think we ever will.

"It's a different story this season, with different characters."

He added that many sex scenes "wouldn’t have made sense for the characters" at the centre of season two.

And this big change to the show hasn't gone unnoticed by viewers, with many sharing their thoughts on social media about the change of tone.

This comes amid reports there is noticeably less sex in the show’s second season (LIAM DANIEL/NETFLIX)

One viewer said: "I’m so glad Bridgerton learned u don’t need to shove in sex scenes,,,like JESUS the longing glances and the whispering and hand touches are so much better."

Another said: "hank you Bridgerton s2 and kathony for bringing back real romance to my screen .. showing that sex scenes are not better than painful pining, adultery but make it pg 13, hand and nose touches and confessions that are pulled out of someone’s soul."

Another added: "Bridgerton season 2 toning down the sex scenes for more pining and sexual tension was so right of them. Daphne and Simon touching hands was 100 times more memorable than any of the sex scenes."

Of course, some weren't of the same opinion and asked "where the hell" are the steamy scenes in the new series.

What do you think? Is the show now better without all the sex? Let us know in the comments.
