Beware the Tall Grass!
A new Netflix original horror movie based on the novella In the Tall Grass by acclaimed horror writer Stephen King and Joe Hill is on its way to the streaming service and it looks seriously creepy.
The official plot synopsis reads: When siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found.
Netflix horror fans have taken to social media to share how scary they think the new film looks and just how hyped they are.
Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: "Well, I loved the novella and the trailer looks awesome! Excited to see In The Tall Grass on @NetflixUK next month."
Another Netflix viewer wrote: "in the tall grass looks so good i will be watching i think"
One horror fan feels especially treated at the moment: "Between Wrinkles the Clown and Stephen King's In The Tall Grass on Netflix I will be scared and entertained this fall."
Meanwhile, another user wrote: "Having seen the trailer I'm absolutely on tenterhooks for @netflix 's adaptation of Stephen King's 'In the Tall Grass' - The cinematography alone looks stunning"
Finally, one Stephen King fan said: "Just watched the trailer for "In the Tall Grass". That looks VERY cool! Looks like "Children in the Corn" turned a step further into a Bermuda Triangle (shades of "Blair Witch Project"). Getting lost in the countryside never fails to frighten. :)"
