Netflix are set to create a documentary exploring paedophile Jimmy Savile 's life, according to reports.
The feature-length film will take a look into the dark life of the disgraced entertainer before his vile crimes were exposed after his death in 2011.
It will also delve into how Savile was able to get away with his behaviour for so long despite being a well known entertainer in the public eye.
The dark new documentary comes after their ten-part series on Madeleine McCann and their upcoming documentary on the Yorkshire Ripper.
A source told The Sun that Netflix are hoping to air the documentary next year.
The insider told the publication: "It will consider some of his friendships with famous faces and the Royal Family, and how he got away with so much despite being in the public eye for so long.”
Savile had allegations of child abuse made against him dating back to 1963, but the allegations were only widely publicised after his death in 2011, aged 84.
It emerged after his death that he sexually abused hundreds of victims, many when they were children.
Police believe that Savile may have been the most prolific paedophile in British history.
Earlier this year, it emerged that Netflix's popular show The Crown had rewritten history after bosses decided to cut the disgraced entertainer out of the show.
Bosses decided, however, that it would have been 'insensitive' to feature the disgraced TV personality.
The episode in question - part of the upcoming fourth series - focuses on the 1984 Royal Variety Performance.
A source explained to The Sun that showrunners felt that the sexual predator did not deserve any such television appearance.
“The creators felt it would be insensitive for such a sadistic predator to have even a second of airtime,” a source told the publication at the time.
