Netflix to crack down on users who share their logins and passwords

If you haven't forked out for your own Netflix account yet - now might have to be the time you have to.

The streaming giant has revealed its plans to crack down on users who share passwords with their friends, family or maybe even neighbours.

Netflix' chief product officer Greg Peters said at the company's Q3 2019 earning interview last week that is hopes to crack down on password sharing, the Mirror reports .

He said: "We continue to monitor it so we’re looking at the situation. We'll see those consumer-friendly ways to push on the edges of that."

But Mr Peters also added that they hope to do this without 'alientaing a certain portion of [its] user base.'

So if you're one of those still riding off someone else's account, you need to rethink your options.

In the meantime, there's plenty of shows to get stuck into this month on Netflix.

From the return of popular series Riverdale and Big Mouth, to a whole host of new films, series and documentaries - cold weather season hasn't come soon enough.
