Netflix thriller Wounds with Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson releases chilling trailer

We do love to stream a Netflix chiller.

The streaming giant is about to bring us another thriller in the form of Wounds, which stars Call Me By Your Name star Armie Hammer,  Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, and Deadpool 2's Zazie Beetz in an unnerving premise.

WOUNDS is a probing thriller from BAFTA winning writer/director Babak Anvari, following his 2016 debut feature Under the Shadow.

The new movie advances the filmmaker’s examinations of everyday lives being upended by inner demons and external menace, as New Orleans bartender Will’s (Armie Hammer) retrieval of a lost phone subjects him to disturbing visions; pulled deeper into poisoned interactions with live-in girlfriend Carrie (Dakota Johnson) and bar regular Alicia (Zazie Beetz), Will’s rage escalates as the warping reality of his existence turns him towards a frightening portal.

What will the consequences be in this dark tale? And will we be able to come out from behind our sofas to watch?

The thriller is also due to be shown as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2019.

Armie Hammer can also currently be seen in Sky Cinema Original thriller Hotel Mumbai, which is based on a horrifying true story, while Dakota Johnson appears in comedy-drama The Peanut Butter Falcon.

Elsewhere, Zazie Beetz has a major supporting role in the Joaquin Phoenix comic book film Joker.

Wounds is released on Netflix UK on October 18, 2019.
