A new Netflix documentary series will explore the vile crimes of the Yorkshire Ripper.
Notorious mass murderer Peter Sutcliffe, who is behind bars at Frankland Prison, was convicted of killing 13 women.
It comes on the back of popular programmes on the disappearance of Madeline McCann and serial killer Ted Bundy.
Producers have visited relatives of some of the 13 women Sutcliffe killed as well as survivors.
They will also speak to victims of crimes thought to have been committed by the monster – but which he was never convicted of.
According to the Daily Mirror , a TV source said: “This will be a huge programme for Netflix and is likely to follow the same format as the Madeleine programme.
“It will focus on victims and the terrible impact of his attacks. It will also examine the dreadful police blunders around the case. Crucially, it will try to throw up fresh clues about crimes Sutcliffe has never been convicted of.
“That would help make it a smash hit both in the UK – and other countries like America and Australia where he is a notorious name.”

A relative of one victim said: “They are speaking to a lot of people and going back over everything, treating it very seriously and also like a new investigation into him.”
Ex-lorry driver Sutcliffe, 72, used hammers, knives and screwdrivers to murder 13 women and tried to kill seven more from 1975 to 1980.
He is suspected of a series of other attacks, with West Yorkshire Police launching a cold case review in 2016.
Sutcliffe struck around Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, targeting red light districts but then moving on to stalk victims elsewhere.
A routine police check finally caught him with a call girl in a car with false plates in Sheffield.
Married Sutcliffe was jailed at the Old Bailey in May 1981 and ordered to serve 20 life sentences.
He is held at Frankland Prison, Co Durham, also home to vile types such as like Levi Bellfield and Ian Huntley.
Production firm Raw TV is racing to finish the programme before the killer dies. He is ailing with diabetes, heart and kidney problems.
