Netflix's Tiger King 'ready for series 2' with explosive unseen Joe Exotic footage

Netflix's Tiger King is ready to return for a second series of the explosive documentary focused around big cat owners including the now notorious Joe Exotic.

The wild documentary captured the attention of viewers all over the world at the start of the year as they learnt about the bitter rivalry between now-imprisoned Joe, conservationist Carole Baskin, andfellow big cat owner Doc Antle.

Joe's right hand man, John Reinke, has confirmed "hundreds of hours" of unseen footage from the show is being compiled into a new series.

The 54-year-old added that Netflix have enough material for at least two or three more episodes, with shocking content likely to surface and potentially cause further arrests.

“There’s so much more content that needs to be in there and I know Netflix have footage for two or three more episodes. The Network said they are going to be in touch with me about it," he said.

“There’s still a bunch of other footage out there. Joe had a bunch of directors through the zoo at various points and they took the footage with them.

“They filmed everything and took what they had on video with them. That footage is also likely to surface at some point.”

He made some dark predictions about the new series, teasing: “There’s quite a lot of lives been turned upside down and I really don’t think it’s over yet.

“There’s going to be more lives turned upside down out of this deal.

“I don’t think the FBI are done investigating everything and everybody involved in this Tiger King show.

"There’s more people probably going to go down for some stuff.”

He also opened up on one-time presidential candidate Joe's much-discussed love life, which at one point saw him marry two men at the same time.

"Joe knew up front I was straight and I was married. He didn’t want me," said John, who appeared in the documentary to help narrate the events.

“First of all I’m too old. He always liked them younger.

“He kept them around 19 or 20 years old, but he always had puppies coming in all the time.

“Puppies is what we called the young boys. He was always puppy shopping.”

John, who lost both his legs in a horrific ziplining accident in 1994, also gave his opinions about which actors should star in upcoming adaptations of the unbelievable story of Joe and Carole's rivalry - which led to Joe being imprisoned for hiring a hitman to kill her.

He hopes his character will be played by Matthew McConaughey, and he would rather see David Spade play Joe than the rumoured Nicholas Cage.

John no longer works at zoos or with big cats, and instead works as a mechanic.
