Netflix's The King trailer sends Timothee Chalamet fans into overdrive

Netflix has dropped its first trailer for historical epic The King.

The historical drama from director David Michod stars Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet as Prince Hal, the wild young prince who later becomes the legendary English monarch King Henry V.

The moody footage sees Hal speak with his friend Falstaff ( Joel Edgerton ) and also his love interest Catherine of Valois (Chalamet's rumoured real-life girlfriend Lily Rose-Depp).

We also get a good look at Robert Pattinson with long locks as Hal's adversary, the Dauphin of France.

The film also stars Captain Marvel star Ben Mendelsohn as Hal's father, King Henry IV, and Sean Harris as someone who has a profound impact on Hal's life.

The King is based on the Henriad plays by William Shakespeare , Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, and Henry V.

Taking to Twitter, the fans of heartthrob Chalamet were left in a tizzy over the new footage.
