The eight-episode first season of The Four Seasons is on Netflix now, airing in full from May 1.
“Three suburban couples vacation together each season, but tensions arise when one couple splits up and the husband brings a much younger woman on subsequent trips,” reads the official description of the show.
Already scoring 77% on Rotten Tomatoes, The Four Seasons has had a strong start, which is perhaps no surprise considering the talented cast that’s attached to the mini-series.
Created by an ensemble team of directors and writers, including Tina Fey – who was following up on her success in the Mean Girls reboot – Tracey Wigfield, and Lang Fisher.
The show follows several couples, made up of Danny and Claude, played by Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani; Kate and Jack, played by Tina Fey and Will Forte; and divorced couple Nick and Anne, played by Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver.
These long-term friends have their traditional holiday rhythm interrupted when Nick and Anne announce their divorce and Nick brings Erica Henningsen’s Ginny, a 32-year-old dental hygienist that he’s just started dating following the divorce.

Every two episodes features a time jump, starting in the spring with Nick announcing plans to divorce Anne, then moving through the year and following the fallout for their marriage and the wider dynamics of the group.
Here’s where you might have seen them before.
Colman Domingo as Danny

Colman Domingo plays one half of the couple, Danny and Claude, who make up the trio of married friends at the core of this show.
Judging from the trailer, Domingo’s Danny seems to be a warm, calming presence, quipping witty asides that balances out the passion of his Italian husband.
You might recognise Domingo from a wide range of recent roles, including appearance in Fear the Walking Dead, The Madness, Sing Sing, and HBO’s hit Euphoria.
Marco Calvani as Claude

Marco Calvani is opposite Domingo as Claude, a passionate Italian man who is seen throwing his husband’s clothes out of the window in one clip from the trailer.
Just as comfortable behind the camera and on stage as in front of it, Calvani is known for his playwriting and directing work as well.
Recent movies you might recognise him from include 2024’s High Tide and 2022’s A Better Half.
Steve Carell as Nick

A titan of comedy, Steve Carell plays the central role of Nick, who sparks the action with the announcement of his divorce from Anne.
He’s got a wealth of hit titles under his belt, including starring opposite co-star Tina Fey in 2010’s Date Night, but perhaps best known for hit movie The 40 Year Old Virgin and TV being the central character in the US’s iteration of The Office.
Kerri Kenney-Silver as Anne

We don’t see much of Kerri Kenney-Silver’s Anne in the trailer, so it’s hard to tell if she’ll have as central a role as the other parts of the couples.
That would be a shame if so, however, with Kerri Kenney-Silver already a proven talent in comedy in shows like Superstore and Reno 911.
Erica Henningsen as Ginny
She plays a 31-year-old dental hygienist who is invited along on the trips as Carell’s Nick plunges deeper into single life.
Henningsen is best known for her work on Broadway and for originating the role of Cady Heron in the 2018 Tony-nominated musical Mean Girls, giving her a connection to...
Tina Fey as Kate

Writer on the show, Tina Fey also steps in front of the camera in this mini-series as Kate, married to Jack.
The couple appear to be straight-edged, for whom “complaining is like sex” according to their friends.
Fey is a whip-smart comedic talent, with many years on SNL and appearing in movies like Mean Girls and Baby Mama and ever-popular shows like 30 Rock.
Will Forte as Jack

Taking the role of her husband, Jack, is Will Forte, who you might recognise from How I Met Your Mother and The Last Man On Earth, alongside much more.
His sardonic humour pairs perfectly with Fey’s from what we’ve seen so far, and rounds out an impressively talented cast for this Netflix mini-series.
