Netflix’s new erotic hit 365 Days (365 DNI) is just beginning, with two more sexy sequels on the way.
The jaw dropping drama has been dividing viewers worldwide, having been dubbed even raunchier than 50 Shades of Grey.
But sitting at number one in Ireland this week, having attracted a large following for its explicit scenes, fans will be delighted to know there is more steamy storylines where it came from.
The racy flick is based on a book of the same name by Blanka Lipińska, and there are two more novels in the series.
And while Netflix are yet to confirm the sequels, the stars hinted that a second chapter in the story is on the cards for the future.
Speaking on an Instagram live in their native Poland, Anna Maria Sieklucka, who plays Laura said: “We will not be able to go abroad to shoot this year because of the pandemic. It will probably be next year. We do not know exactly when we will be able to start.”
Viewers of the X-rated flick, which landed on Netflix last week, know it ends on a major cliffhanger, so excitement for the potential sequel has been bubbling since it hit the streaming service.
The movie is based on Sicilian mafia gangster Massimo, played by Michele Morrone,who kidnaps Laura, played by Anna Maria Sieklucka, on her holiday in Italy.
Already infatuated with her, he gives her 365 days to fall in love with him.
Much to a lot of critics' dismay, his unique plan works, but just when it looks like the pair are going to ride off into the sunset and get married, Massimo discovers that a rival gang are out to kill Laura.
The ending of movie, also known as 365 DNI sees Laura vanish during a car journey in a tunnel.
Massimo assumes that she is dead, as a police car blocks the tunnel’s entrance in the closing scene.
But with the second movie set to follow the plot line of the second book in the series, Ten Dzień, fans will be pleased to know that Laura is not dead as Massimo starts off by rescuing his fiancee who happens to be pregnant.
It’s been revealed that the two main actors endured hours of filming the racy sex scenes to get it just right.
Speaking to Variety during a recent interview, cinematographer Bartek Cierlica revealed that they were also careful to "not to cross the border of pornography."
“We wanted the camera to be as much invisible as possible, to let them act, so indeed the takes were very, very long,” he explained.
“We wanted the viewer to hear their whispers, heavy breaths and we wanted to show the sweat, passion. Be natural, authentic, but not to cross the border of pornography.”
