Veteran television producer Ryan Murphy is about to offer us his latest star-studded project with Netflix.
Hollywood is an ambitious limited series that chronicles the trials and tribulations of wannabe actors, writers, and directors trying to make it big in Tinseltown during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
The period drama is only Murphy's latest with Netflix, following last year's comedy-drama The Politician.
The new series boasts big names such as Darren Criss, Holland Taylor, Jim Parsons, and Queen Latifah.
However, which characters in the show are based on real-life figures from Hollywood history and which ones are fictional?
Here is what you need to know about the cast of Netflix's Hollywood.
Netflix's Hollywood cast
David Corenswet as Jack Castello
David plays the part of wannabe leading man Jack, a veteran from World War Two who has dreams of being a movie star.

Corenswet previously worked with Ryan Murphy on his Netflix comedy-drama The Politician.
He serves as an executive producer on Hollywood, having become fast friends with Murphy, who describes him to The Hollywood Reporter as looking like "an old-time movie star and he can act, too."
Darren Criss as Raymond Ainsley
Darren portrays up-and-coming director Raymond, who is also in a relationship with actress Camille.

Criss is an old hand when it comes to Murphy shows, having played fan-favourite Blaine in Glee, had a guest role in American Horror Story, and won acclaim for his turn as serial killer Andrew Cunanan in American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.
Murphy told THR that he wanted to give Criss an "inspirational" role after Cunanan.
Jeremy Pope as Archie Colman
Jeremy plays the role of a screenwriter itching for his big break despite the prejudice against African-Americans and gay men.

Pope is a double Tony Award nominee for his work on Broadway, but Murphy was so impressed he cast him in Hollywood and the third season of his LGBTQ+ drama series Pose.

Camille is in a relationship with director Raymond.
Harrier is best known for her roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming and BlacKkKlansman.
