Netflix reveals The Witcher season two premiere date

Streaming giant Netflix used the inaugural Witchercon event to announce the season two premiere date of hit show The Witcher.

Following a lengthy delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, filming of the next instalment has now concluded and Netflix has revealed that new episodes will hit television screens on 17th December this year.

Henry Cavill, who injured his leg on set in December last year, will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia and revealed his character will be more talkative in the new series.

“I played the season one way deliberately, which was him out in the wilds and without the opportunity for vast swathes of dialogue," he said.

“I thought it best to be the man who says less because that seems like he’s thinking more. And that was the intention with that.”

“He’s not just a big old white-haired brute,” he added.
