Netflix releases first look at Olivia Colman in The Crown

Olivia Colman has made her debut as Queen Elizabeth II in a new teaser trailer for The Crown's third season.

The short clip from Netflix - which references the transition from the previous lead Claire Foy to Colman, who is playing an older version of the Queen - as the monarch has her portrait taken for a new set of stamps.

She is told that the portrait is to be "an elegant reflection of Her Majesty's transition from young woman to..." before she interrupts: "Old bat?"

Colman's Queen adds: "A great many changes. Nothing one can do about it; one just has to get on with it."

The Crown Season Three Netflix UK release date will be November 17, 2019
