Netflix release chilling You season 2 trailer ahead of Boxing Day launch

It was the drama series that had everyone gripped over Christmas and well into New Year this time last year and Netflix have delivered a chilling taste of what to expect from season 2 of You.

Following hot on the heels of much buzzed about Netflix film Bird Box and prior to true crime drama Dear John, You was THE thing to binge watch as 2018 became 2019 and it's about to return in a big way.

If you're not familiar with You or need a refresher the official synopsis for season 1 is "obsessed with an aspiring writer, a charming bookstore manager goes to extreme measures to insert himself into her life."

Giving a bit more detail, at the centre of the plot is Joe who serves aspiring writer Beck and quickly develops a massive crush on her.

After finding all of her social media accounts, Joe becomes increasingly obsessed with Beck. But this isn't just a throwaway crush as Joe becomes intent on getting rid of any obstacles standing in the way of his and Beck's romance...including people!

We'll not spoil things by revealing how season 1 ended but suffice to say, Joe is not a man to be messed with!

And that looks like being the trend for season 2 which will be released on Netflix on Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26.

The new run of episodes will see Joe head to Los Angeles in a bid to escape his life in New York and pretends to be a man named Will Bettelheim.

He soon meets new love interest called Love Quinn in LA but his fresh start is threatened when his former girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) follows him across the country with dramatic conequences.

In the trailer, which you can watch above, Candace says "If he loves you..that's the most dangerous thing."

The official trailer is soundtracked by a VERY eerie version of Radiohead's Creep which is giving us all the shivers!
