Netflix have new coronavirus lock down rules for parents - what you need to know

Netflix have introduced a host of new rules and features for parents to better control and monitor what their children are watching.

With kids off school and forced to stay in due to the Covid-19 lock down measures, the streaming platform want to make it simpler for parents to control what they can watch online.

The company say the new features, including PIN-protection, were inspired by feedback from families.

New options on Netflix streaming platforms include the ability to set restrictions on viewer profiles to prevent children using them.

Parents will also be able to filter out inappropriate content for their children to stop them accidentally watching something scary or adult orientated.

Users will be able to remove individual series or films by title. When the filter is used, the blocked titles won’t show up anywhere in that profile.
