Netflix gave To All The Boys I've Loved Before a Scottish twist - and Irn Bru clapped back

If you're a fan of wholesome, cute, teen films (no judgement - we love them here at Glasgow Live) then you've probably already watched the Netflix film To All The Boys I've Loved Before.

The film was an instant hit when it was released in 2018 - and teeny bopper hearts are about to be set alight once again when the sequel is released.

To mark the fact that To All the Boys: PS. I Still Love You is coming out, Netflix shared a meme on their social media - with an unexpected Scottish twist.

At one point in the film, love interest Peter Kavinsky tries the lead character Lara Jean's yogurt drink and exclaims "Oh wow. That is really good."

Now, a meme has been created where instead of yogurt, Peter is trying out Scotland's favourite soft drink. And guess what? It's two thumbs up from the teen heartthrob.

Still, Netflix didn't look so convinced by the replacement, tweeting: "Celebrating the fact that To All the Boys: PS. I Still Love you is out tomorrow by sharing this thing that inexplicably exists."

Of course, Irn Bru was never going to let that one lie, and they didn't disappoint - quickly leaping to our other national drinks' defence with an "Inexplicably?"

And of course, Scottish Twitter was quick to back up the point that Irn Bru definitely qualifies as "really good".

Some also couldn't resist the opportunity to remember some of Irn Bru's funniest adverts.

Who knew that Irn Bru and teen romcoms was the combination that we needed?
