Netflix fires exec who said company didn't believe Danny Masterson rape claims

The Netflix executive who told one of Danny Masterson's accusers that the company didn't believe the women saying the actor raped them has been fired.

"Mr. (Andy) Yeatman is no longer employed at Netflix," a company spokesperson told the Daily News.

The ousted exec, who was the director of global kids content, made the comments in December at a children's soccer game in which both his daughter and the daughter of one of Masterson's accusers were playing.

The accuser, identified only as Victim B, told the HuffPost that she approached Yeatman at the soccer game and asked why Netflix had not taken action against Masterson, who was at the time starring on the Netflix series "The Ranch."

Yeatman in turn told her that the company did not believe the accusations against Masterson, though he did not know at the time she was one of the accusers.

Masterson has been accused of rape by four women and is under investigation by the Los Angeles County District Attorney and the Los Angeles Police Department.

Netflix called Yeatman's comments "careless and uninformed" and announced just one day later, Dec. 5, it had officially cut ties with Masterson.

"As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of 'The Ranch.' Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him," Netflix said in a statement to The Huffington Post.

Masterson, 41, has denied the allegations against him, and has said that all encounters were consensual.
