Netflix fans are gobsmacked after realising that Andie MacDowell is actually related to one of her Maid co-stars.
The 63-year-old stars in the hit series which tells the story of a single mother who turns to housecleaning to make ends meet as she escapes an abusive relationship and overcomes homelessness to create a better life for her and her daughter.
Margaret Qualley takes on the role of the single mother Alex Russell, and Andie plays her onscreen mum Paula Langley.
However, it turns out that Margaret and Andie are actually mother and daughter in real-life too - and viewers didn't realise the connection at first.
Margaret, 27, is one of three children that Hollywood star Andie shares with her ex-husband Paul Qualley.
Andie's youngest child decided to follow in her footsteps and made her acting debut with a minor role in the 2013 drama film Palo Alto.
She also gained recognition for playing a troubled teenager in the HBO television series The Leftovers.
Taking to Twitter, Maid viewers shared their surprise at finding out the link between Andie and Margaret.
One person posted: "It took me 8 episodes to realize that Andie MacDowell and Margaret Qualley are mother/daughter in real life. Woman facepalming they work so well together and it just makes sense now. #MAIDNetflix."
A second fan tweeted: "I am today years old when I read that Margaret Qualley is daughter of Andie Macdowell in real life #MAIDNetflix."
A third person added: "Just found out that Margaret Qualley is Andie MacDowell's real life daughter?! Woww no wonder the on-screen chemistry was FireFire #MAIDNetflix."
