Netflix fans finally realising where they've seen Lady Bridgerton before

Netflix fans are finally realising where they've seen Lady Bridgerton before.

The period drama has captured a lot of people's attention since its release over Christmas as viewers eagerly waited to see what would happen between Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings.

It has been that popular more than 80 million households have indulged in the Netflix series and a second season has already been announced.

But it's taken a while for viewers to put their finder on where they have seen the matriarch of the Bridgerton clan before.

Lady Violet Bridgerton is played by Ruth Gemmell and those of a certain age will remember her as Tracy Beaker's mum, Carly Beaker.

And fans can't believe it.

"When you finally realise where you've seen Lady Bridgerton from... Tracy Beaker's mum!!! Loool. Daaamn she really was away for a long time #Bridgerton," tweeted one.

Another said: "I'm 4 episodes in and I've only just realised Lady Violet Bridgerton is Tracy Beaker’s mum I’m dying hahahaha #Bridgerton."

"Tracy Beaker wasn't lying when she said her mums a famous actress #Bridgerton," a third joked.

A fourth surprised viewer added: "Just started watching #Bridgerton (late to the party, I know) but omg Tracey Beaker’s mum is in it?!!"

It's also quite timely as Ruth is set to reprise her role as a guest in CBBC's 'My Mum Tracy Beaker'.

Almost been 20 years since the original TV series aired, Tracy will be back on screen as mum to daughter Jess.
