"Please check your internet connection and try again."

Online status tracker Down Detector is currently showing over 25,000 reports that Netflix is down which means this is one of the biggest outages the streaming platform has seen in some time.

6,400 of these reports are in the UK alone.

Users have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration.

Rhyanna said: "Glad it isn't just me.. #netflixdown."

Irem said: "Netflix is down for like 20 minutes: leading to mass anxiety and hysteria, including myself. Not sure about being sad, amused, or worry about this issue."

Tara said: "I did so much studying today and decided to take a break and watch Netflix!! Instead, Netflix is down so the universe is trying to tell me I need to study more."

Netflix have not mentioned the technical issues on their social media or Netflix service status page.
