Netflix DOWN as thousands of users worldwide greeted with error messages

Thousands of people have been left disappointed tonight as Netflix has gone down across the globe.

More than half of the reports are stating issues with the streaming service’s website.

The outage appears to have hit around 8pm UK local time and has affected countries including the UK, US China and Canada as well as others in Europe.

Depending on where users are, they are experiencing from slow service to none at all.

Many trying to access the platform has met with the error message “tvq-st-145.”

The Netflix help centre website explains that “tvq-st-145” usually means the problem lies with is with the individual's network and the error is due to a connectivity issue.

The website says: “It typically points to a network connectivity issue that is preventing your device from reaching Netflix. Follow the troubleshooting steps for your device below to resolve the issue.”

However, the problem appears to be with Netflix as Down Detector showed more than 6,000 users saying they couldn't get in at one point.

Users have taken to social media to vent their frustrations.

One writes: "The relief when you figure out that your computer and connection are just fine #netflixdown."

Another added: "As soon as I sit down for a lunch break Netflix is down."

"I can handle Facebook or Instagram being down, but not Netflix. I need my daily fix of Steve Carell," reads a further post.

On Netflix's page, it says everything is up and working.
