Netflix down as hundreds of users unable to watch streaming site

Hundreds of Netflix users across the UK have been unable to watch the streaming platform this morning.

Many people have taken to social media to share images of an error screen.

Many watchers being greeted with a "Something went wrong. Sorry, we're having trouble with your request" error message, with the Error Code NSES-500.

The Netflix website explained the error code is caused by a problem with the internet browser.

It said: "If you get this error, it usually means that information stored in your browser needs to be refreshed."

The streaming service said it is investigating after film fans reported outages - reports Wales Online

Several shared pictures of their screens on Twitter, complaining they could not watch their favourite shows.

Responding to a customer, Netflix wrote on Twitter: "We are investigating the issue at the moment."

Website Down Detector, which monitors service outages, shows more than 1,500 people reported issues shortly after 10am today.

Some say they are getting an error screen, others are getting the error code NSES-500.
