Netflix confirm The Woods release date sparking huge excitement from fans of Safe and The Stranger

Netflix have sent fans of both Safe and The Stranger into a frenzy by confirming when writer Harlan Coben's new series will be released.

The Stranger and Safe, while the latter was released in 2017, have been two of the most buzzed about dramas on the streaming service so far this year and Coben's latest offering The Woods is sure to spark the same reaction.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon, Netflix confirmed the Polish mini-series will be available to stream from June 12.

As you might expect, given the fact it is Polish, The Woods will be subtitled for viewers in other countries and the trailer, which you can watch above, suggests it's going to make for VERY tense viewing.

A short teaser on the Netflix website reads: "A Warsaw prosecutor's hopes rise when a body is found and linked to his sister's disappearance 25 years earlier."

The reaction to Netflix's Facebook post has had a massive response. One excited viewer reacted: "this looks amazing!" and another commented: " Another Harlan Coben!"

On the issue of it having subtitles, one follower wrote: "I hate watching shows that have been dubbed. It annoys me too much that their mouths don't sync with the words. I much prefer watching any shows in another language with subtitles," and, in agreement, another replied: "I love the subtitles you get to enjoy more of the programme as you have to study each scene."
