Netflix confirm Beyonce Homecoming documentary and release date

Speculation about the possibility of it happening caused much excitement amongst her fans last week and a Beyonce documentary IS coming to Netflix.

Rumours swirled that the music megastar was going to be the subject of a documentary on the streaming service and the film has been heavily teased, as well as its release date.

This year has been a very successful one for Netflix, with a string of movies, series and documentaries all doing the business for the streaming service.

First came Sandra Bullock film Birdbox - which is getting a sequel - and then there was stalker thriller You, which will too be back for season two and then true crime drama Dirty John.

And then more recently, Netflix has given viewers a number of gripping documentaries including, the much talked about Abducted in Plain Sight , Dirty John: The Dirty Truth and of course The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann .

Last week the Ted Bundy Netflix film release date confirmed: Zac Efron stars as killer in anticipated movie was revealed and now it's the turn of Beyonce to get everyone hyped up.

Queen B's documentary 'Homecoming' will follow the build up to her performance at Coachella last year, which famously featured Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly and Michelle.

It will be released on Netfix on Wednesday, April 17. Netflix UK tweeted the same picture, so it looks like we'll be getting Homecoming the same day as the US.

The response from fans has been massive. One fan responded to Netflix UK's tweet by saying "Hide your faves, the queen is back, bow down," and another wrote "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaas."
