Netflix has cancelled a TV series, filmed in Liverpool, less than two months after it first aired.
The Irregulars followed a street urchin gang, known as the Baker Street Irregulars, who use their crime-solving skills to help a delinquent interpretation of Sherlock Holmes and his sinister sidekick Dr Watson.
The eight-part series first aired on March 26, but Deadline have now confirmed plans for a second season have been dropped.
However, many fans have been shocked by the news, considering reports in March suggesting The Irregulars was to start filming again in Liverpool this summer.

The Irregulars young cast included Mossley Hill actress Darci Shaw as Jessie; Thaddea Graham as Bea; Jojo Macari as Billy; Mckell David as Spike and Harrison Osterfield as Leopold.
Thaddea said she was 'heartbroken' at hearing the show had been cancelled.
She said on Instagram: "Heartbroken doesn't even begin to cover it.

"So grateful to the entire team behind The Irregulars who showed up every day and grafted for over a year, pouring everything they had into making the show.
“The theme of found family truly lifted off our pages and became a reality.
"I’m sorry we’re not heading back to Baker Street. Thank you to everyone who has tuned in and engaged. It means the world."
Since the news broke, fans have expressed their disappointment with Netflix's decision on social media.
Wakeah tweeted: "Dear @netflix please reconsider cancelling The Irregulars. I loved that show enough to watch it twice and was one of the shows I was most looking forward to all year. Having it cancelled makes me sad."
Tasha wrote: "It’s soo annoying that The Irregulars was cancelled. It was a good show, had lots of potential."
Venni added: "Why the hell did you cancel The Irregulars!? Please tell me this is a really bad joke and you're giving us a second season!"
And Zeenat said: "Well this sucks! I hate watching shows that get cancelled after one season."
